I'm kind of surprised I'm still getting folks realizing that Roar Howl Run is loosely inspired by the Atalanta myth so here's a breakdown of the names. I wanna be clear that Roar Howl Run is not what I'd call an adaption, and it was never my aim to try and replicate the myth for Multiple Reasons. But you can pretty easily see what parallels are there. Ata: Atalanta; naturally. The child abandoned in the wild, nursed by a bear, taught by hunters, and who helps slay the Calydonian boar. Also a race is involved. Temis: Artemis, god of the hunt and also the moon. Lyca: Lycaon. Name is totally unrelated to the myth but comes from a Greek character who gets turned into a wolf. Narratively, her and the pack fill the place of the Hunters. Romu: Romulus. Name totally unrelated; comes from the founder of Rome who was nursed by a wolf as a baby.
